Scope and location

This Privacy Policy explains how QIX Rentals collects, uses, discloses, protects, and retains information through qixrentals.com, account tools, listing tools, booking flows, messaging, support, concierge requests, host dashboards, paid host tools, and related marketplace operations.

QIX Rentals is based in Seattle, Washington, United States. The platform is designed for users who are at least 18 years old and able to participate in a premium rental marketplace.

This Policy should be read with the Terms of Service, Cancellation Policy, Community Guidelines, Host Standards, Guest Standards, listing-specific rules, and any checkout or host billing disclosures shown through the platform.

Account and profile information

Supabase Auth may collect and process account registration and authentication information, including first name, last name, email address, password or authentication data, account type, login events, session information, and related security signals.

Profiles may include phone number, city, country, bio, avatar, preferences, notification settings, role, account status, language or currency preferences, saved settings, and other information users choose to provide or that QIX Rentals needs to operate account features.

If social sign-in or other authentication providers are enabled, QIX Rentals may receive limited account information from those providers, such as name, email address, avatar, provider identifiers, and authentication status, subject to the provider's terms and privacy practices.

Host listing and operations information

Hosts may submit listing details such as title, description, destination, city, region, country, address or location signals, photos, amenities, house rules, arrival details, pricing, cleaning fees, taxes where configured, bedrooms, bathrooms, guest capacity, property type, availability, minimum or maximum stay rules, premium-host eligibility information, instant-book status, and operational notes.

QIX Rentals may store host dashboard activity, listing approval status, listing quality signals, verification status, Stripe payout readiness, analytics events, reservation history, guest request history, review data, support tickets, moderation reports, and AI listing suggestions.

Listing photos, avatars, verification materials where enabled, and message attachments may be stored through Supabase storage buckets or other service providers configured for the platform.

Guest activity, bookings, and marketplace records

Guests may save listings, create collections, book stays, message hosts, submit support requests, request concierge support, manage trips, review stays, report concerns, and update account preferences.

The platform may store bookings, booking codes, dates, guest count, nightly rates, cleaning fees, service fees, platform fees, taxes, totals, currency, payment status, booking status, cancellation status, refund status, host and guest identifiers, listing identifiers, messages, notifications, reviews, support tickets, moderation reports, and concierge request details.

QIX Rentals may collect analytics events such as listing views, booking starts, checkout activity, host dashboard interactions, boost activity, feature usage, support events, and performance signals to operate, secure, debug, measure, and improve the marketplace.

Payment, billing, and Stripe information

Stripe is used for guest checkout, host payouts, Stripe Connect, Stripe Checkout, Stripe Billing Portal, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, host subscriptions, listing boosts, payment status, tax or payment records, and fraud checks.

Payment card details are handled by Stripe, and QIX Rentals receives payment status and transaction information needed to operate bookings and billing. QIX Rentals may store payment-related identifiers such as Stripe customer IDs, checkout session IDs, payment intent IDs, subscription IDs, connected account IDs, transfer IDs, charge or refund identifiers, invoice status, dispute status, and related metadata.

Stripe may process payment information under its own terms, privacy policy, security practices, and legal obligations. Stripe may require identity, business, bank, tax, and compliance information from hosts or other payment participants.

Cookies, sessions, security, and analytics

QIX Rentals may use cookies, local storage, session tokens, authentication cookies, security tools, analytics tools, logging, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, protect accounts, prevent fraud, measure performance, debug errors, understand feature usage, and operate checkout or support flows.

Some technologies are necessary for authentication, security, checkout, fraud prevention, saved preferences, or platform delivery. Others may support analytics, product improvement, performance measurement, or non-essential communications where available and permitted.

Browser settings, device settings, consent tools where available, and email preference tools may allow users to limit certain cookies, analytics, or communications. Some platform features may not function properly without necessary cookies or session technologies.

Infrastructure and service providers

Supabase is used for database services, authentication, row-level security, storage, listing photos, avatars, message attachments, and related application data. Vercel is used for hosting, deployment, infrastructure, application delivery, logs, and performance. Stripe is used for payment, billing, payout, dispute, and fraud-prevention workflows.

QIX Rentals may also use limited information with service providers that support cloud infrastructure, storage, analytics, security, communications, customer support, email delivery, error monitoring, authentication, location or map features where enabled, AI listing support, and business operations.

Service providers are expected to process information for QIX Rentals' operational purposes, subject to appropriate contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards. Their processing may also be subject to their own legal obligations.

How QIX Rentals uses information

QIX Rentals may use information to create and secure accounts, authenticate users, display listings, support search and discovery, process bookings, route messages, manage trips, support hosts and guests, provide concierge intake, operate checkout, process host payouts, administer subscriptions and boosts, generate notifications, and maintain marketplace records.

QIX Rentals may also use information to personalize or improve the product experience, measure performance, improve policy legibility, maintain analytics, test features, debug errors, support customer service, review listings, moderate reports, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce policies, process refunds or disputes, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, safety, payment, and operational requirements.

QIX Rentals may use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics, forecasting, marketplace health, product development, business planning, and reporting, where the information is not reasonably used to identify a specific individual.

How information may be disclosed

QIX Rentals may disclose limited information to service providers, payment processors, infrastructure providers, support vendors, analytics providers, communications tools, security tools, professional advisers, and other operational partners as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the platform.

QIX Rentals may disclose limited information between guests and hosts where needed for bookings, messages, arrival coordination, support, cancellation review, damage review, refund processing, dispute resolution, trust and safety, or legal compliance. For example, a host may receive booking details needed to prepare a stay, and a guest may receive host or listing information needed for arrival.

QIX Rentals may disclose information to prevent fraud or security abuse, enforce policies, process payments, respond to chargebacks or disputes, comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, investigate suspected misconduct, complete a business transaction, or as otherwise required or permitted by law.

No sale, rental, or independent advertising disclosure

QIX Rentals does not sell personal information, does not rent or trade personal information, and does not share personal information with third parties for their independent advertising or marketing.

QIX Rentals may disclose limited information for operational purposes described in this Policy, including with service providers, between guests and hosts where needed for bookings, to process payments, to prevent fraud or security abuse, to enforce policies, to comply with law, and to protect rights and safety.

If QIX Rentals later introduces advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, or other data uses that require additional notice or choice under applicable law, QIX Rentals will update its notices and provide choices as required or permitted by law.

Communications and notification choices

QIX Rentals may send transactional, account, booking, checkout, payment, payout, security, support, moderation, concierge, and policy communications. These messages may be necessary to operate the platform and may not be fully optional while an account, booking, dispute, payment, or support matter is active.

Users may be able to adjust notification settings or opt out of non-essential marketing or promotional communications. Even after opting out of non-essential communications, users may still receive important service, safety, legal, payment, or account messages.

Users should keep email, phone, and notification preferences current so QIX Rentals, hosts, guests, Stripe, and support workflows can deliver time-sensitive booking and account information.

Sensitive information and health-data caution

QIX Rentals is not designed to collect consumer health data, medical records, biometric identifiers, precise sensitive personal details beyond what is necessary for platform operation, or unnecessary sensitive information. Users should not submit unnecessary sensitive data through listings, messages, support tickets, concierge requests, reviews, profiles, or attachments.

If a user voluntarily includes sensitive information in a message, support request, concierge request, report, or other content, QIX Rentals may process that information as needed to respond to the request, protect safety, enforce policies, comply with law, or operate the service.

Hosts and guests should avoid requesting or sharing sensitive information about others unless it is necessary, lawful, and appropriate for the booking, safety issue, accessibility need, payment requirement, or support matter being addressed.

Retention

QIX Rentals retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the platform, maintain accounts, operate bookings, support hosts and guests, process payments, maintain tax and accounting records, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce policies, comply with legal obligations, and support business operations.

Retention periods may vary by data type, account status, booking history, payment records, dispute history, legal requirements, backup systems, support needs, fraud-prevention requirements, and operational requirements.

Deletion, account closure, or removal requests are subject to legal, tax, accounting, safety, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, backup, and operational requirements. QIX Rentals may retain limited records where required or permitted by law or where needed for legitimate operational purposes.

Security

QIX Rentals uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Safeguards may include authentication, access controls, service-provider protections, row-level security where configured, logging, monitoring, and secure payment processing through Stripe.

No website, marketplace, payment system, storage provider, network, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for using strong passwords, protecting account credentials, keeping devices secure, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.

QIX Rentals may investigate security reports and may restrict account access, reset credentials, revoke sessions, preserve records, notify affected parties, or take other steps as required or permitted by law and operational needs.

User choices and rights

Users may request access, correction, deletion, account closure, portability where applicable, opt-out of non-essential communications, and cookie or analytics choices where available and required by applicable law.

QIX Rentals may need to verify identity, account ownership, residency, authority, or request scope before responding. Some requests may be limited by legal, tax, accounting, safety, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, backup, payment, support, and operational requirements.

Users can make privacy requests through the contact, support, or account channels available on qixrentals.com. QIX Rentals will respond as required by applicable law and may provide additional instructions if more information is needed to process the request.

Children's privacy

QIX Rentals is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. QIX Rentals does not knowingly allow children under 18 to create accounts, host listings, book stays, or use marketplace features.

If QIX Rentals learns that information has been collected from a child under 18 through the platform, QIX Rentals may take reasonable steps to delete or restrict the information, subject to legal, safety, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, backup, and operational requirements.

United States operations and international users

QIX Rentals is based in Seattle, Washington, United States, and the platform may process and store information in the United States and other locations where QIX Rentals, Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, or other service providers operate.

Users who access QIX Rentals from outside the United States understand that their information may be processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection rules than their place of residence. QIX Rentals will handle information as described in this Policy and as required by applicable law.

Changes and contact
